Noise at Work
The aim of this training course is to explain noise, noise damage and noise damage prevention. Hearing is easy to protect provided that there is an understanding of noise and how it causes hearing damage.
Upon completion of the Noise at Work course, staff will have an understanding of:
- Noise and Sound
- Measuring sound and the Decibel scale
- Ear anatomy and hearing
- Hearing loss including signs and symptoms
- The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005
- Risk Assessment
- Noise in yor workplace and controlling noise
- Noise Exposure Levels and Exposure Action Values
- Health Surveillance
- Personal hearing protection and training
When you are happy that you understand the course material you can take the online multiple choice assessment which has a pass rate of 80%. On successful completion of the test you will be issued with a certificate to confirm your understanding of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.
